Kris Kristofferson by Fans, for Fans

Kristofferson Fan Club: by Fans, for Fans

Kristofferson Fan Club? You’re right, there isn’t one anymore. Fan clubs were lost to the changes of time. That said, a club is really just a collection of people, and many of Kris’ fans are united by a love of his art, work, activism, humility or spirit.  Kris’ only official space is kriskristofferson.com and it’s well worth a visit.

We are a group (or club) of fans supporting each other and hoping to inspire new fans. Kris’ catalogue of work is immense but scattered. We’d like to make it easier to find.

Kris Kristofferson has had a complicated relationship with the media throughout his career. There are some worthwhile sources online, but they are fragmented and need sniffing out. There are many more sources churning out recycled and repetitive articles which have their place but left fans feeling isolated.

This site grew from fans who want more and give more. We discuss, share and celebrate Kris’ life and work with each other. We review his work, share our gig pictures and experiences throughout his career,  and we find answers to each other’s questions.

Most of all, we understand each other and share an interest in Kris’ life, passions, art, activism or work. Kris Kristofferson is an iconic songwriter, activist,  and talent whose work has shaped generations. He is a husband, family man and decent human being. As a fan, you are almost certainly an original thinker and a creative person in your own right. You matter.

Some people don’t understand why you enjoy Kris’ work so much. We do. Help us to shape this space for others like us. Have fun reading our posts, and jump in with your own stories if and when you are ready. If it fits, we’ll post it.

We’d love to see your photographs and hear about your gig, movie or listening experiences. Our email is [email protected]
Peace,
Donna.

  1. Hello Chris!
I want to thank you for all your beautiful music you have sung over the years.
They can be found, among other things, on YouTube. One of them, Why me Lord where there are about twenty artists singing along. Very nice atmosphere and I often listen to it.
    Again thank you.
    God bless you.

  2. As a dedicated fan since purchasing his first album, Kristofferson, shortly after its release in 1970, as well as essentially all his subsequent albums, I maintain now as I did from the start that Kris Kristofferson epitomizes what it means to be a true, modern day Renaissance man. Highly educated and proud of his family’s military heritage, he opted to follow his heart and pursue a career in music and the field of entertainment, a path that has led him to become a never to be forgotten icon. As someone who, at the age of 84, is a contemporary of Kris, I only wish I could thank him personally for the enjoyment his music has given me over the past 50+ years. Kris, you will never be forgotten.

    1. Hello, there & thank you for your kind message. Kris has had a busy week with an unexpected stage performance where he joined The Strangers onstage in Redding & performed 3 songs with them – I wish I could have been there to see & hear that! He sure looks to be in great health & high spirits, perhaps the recent R&R has done him good 🙂
I, like most fans I guess, fully agree with what you have said. Thanks again for sharing your post with us. It really matters.
      Regards,
      Donna

  4. K. K. and I shared a city and some of its times todgether in Brownsville, Texas, but according to all Bios I have seen, not a school. Bios say that his family moved to California after his elementary school days at West Brownsville Elementary now Russell Elementary. Yet, I have a memory that he briefly attended Brownsville Junior High where I was one grade ahead of him. I have a memory of his name and also seeing him in the school halls but not later. What is correct? Just curios. It all rushed back to me when I heard about him and “Help Me Make It,,,,,,,” but my favorite is “Talley…..” ! Such a talent!! He has help many through a lot of life!

    1. Hi Robert – Sharon says: “He was in junior high for almost 6 months before going to CA. His dad went ahead to set up housing and Mary wanted to wait until school break. Does the person have any school pic of Kris?” I dis say I would ask you & hope you see this. Will send on any other info that comes in … D

  5. I had heard of him, but only recently learned more about him. I wish I had known about him earlier. We are the same age. I agree, he is an outstanding talent!
