I saw him here at a very very small club in 1995 with Danny Timms. He did two shows and it was just the two of them and he stood outside signing autographs in front of a bus. It wasn’t a fancy bus like he has now it was just a plain bus. Kris was gorgeous. He wore just a black T-shirt and black jeans. He just looked lke he loved what he was
When Kris was at the bus and I was talking to him, and he signed his autograph for me. A big girl broke through and grabbed him She was really obnoxious, and clearly very drunk.
Kris handled the situation really nicely. He asked what her name was and she replied, ” Lisa.” He replied, saying, “well that’s my wife’s name, too.”
He turned his attention back to me and apologized to me. can you believe that? There was no need, but it did give me more time to stare just a little longer at the wonder that is Kris Kristofferson.
After signing my autograph, Kris went into the bus. My daughter and I spent some time chatting
What a nice guy! He mentioned that Kris was in the bus talking to someone that he used to play football with. That is so very Kris – Still so down to earth!
