Kristofferson Tour Australia 20192 min read
Kris Kristofferson is set to tour Australia and New Zealand this year – and for many fans, it’s been a long wait and they are sure to give him a warm welcome.
A lot has happened since Kris’ last tour in 2014.
- The South African Tour
- Kris played Europe (a few times)
- Kris played Glasto (and he was GREAT)
- A Star is Born has been remade
- Kris has spoken out about Lyme disease and his memory struggles
- Country music lost Merle
- Kris mainly solo act has evolved to include some of the Strangers (Merle’s band)
- Kris is one of the voices on Sheryl Crow’s new album
Sheryl Crow promoted her new album during her Glasto appearance last week. It features her friends and music heroes – Legends like Johnny Cash, and Kris (on the Borderlords track)
Sheryl Crow speaks about Kris from aroun 1:55 in this video. There is some lovely footage that features Johnny Cash in the same video. It’s in the tweet below in case you haven’t seen it.

Kris is not promoting any new album on this tour, but he can be heard on a few tracks on Scott Joss’ new cd
The tour continues on to New Zealand, and we are sure it’s going to be great success.

How can I get a photo with the legend?
Hi Tony, sorry for the delay in answering. Kris doesn’t do many meet and greets these days – After a show, he is usually ready to get his head down. Typically, there are pre-signed photographs available from the merch table (see Judy) and Scott Joss will often pop out and he is very good-natured. That said, you never know. Look for the bus, and see if you can chat with the driver to find out what options there might be. Best of luck! Regards, Donna
