Casey Kristofferson, the daughter of Kris Kristofferson u0026amp; Rita Coolidge plays in a band called Yellow Feather. They released their debut album, And Gold, in November 2017.
I only heard about the album the album today via savingcountrymusic.com. I often wondered what Casey had been up to, especially after watching Kelly on stage with their Dad a few years back. I did some research tonight and I have the band playing on loop as I am writing this.

Legend says that her talented parents named their first child the day after they met. They were together 8 years, married for 6 of them. There is a lot of information on this site about Kris Kristofferson, so let’s look at Rita Coolidge.

Anyone can see what attracted the couple to each other. Kris’ Me u0026amp; Bobby McGee was flying high, so he was living the life. Rita was strikingly gorgeous. Slim, great skin u0026amp; long hair with features anyone would envy. One source says that her father was a Cherokee minister in the Baptist church and that her mother was of Cherokee-Scottish stock.
Certainly, she was admired by many eligible men of the day. Stephen Stills, Graham Nash (who wrote Cherokee about Rita), Leon Russell (wrote Delta Lady about Rita), Jim Gordon u0026amp; her current husband Dr. Tatsuya Suda, an academic are some of the men that Rita has been romantically linked with. To know more, you can read her book, which is basically a biography. It does mention Kris, of course, so might be worth a look anyway. Rita is an artist in her right – a two-time Grammy Award-winning singer.
