How do I write a letter to Kris Kristofferson?
Hi Janice. That is a tricky one indeed. The easiest way to do it is to hand it to one of the guys at the merch table at a gig and ask them to hand it over if they get the opportunity to do so. Kris doesn’t use any online devices, and he is nearly always on the road. There is no sure way. If it is not too personal and you are happy to post it online, some fans do add their notes here on the chance that someone close to the Kris MIGHT bring it to his attention – A long shot – but it is something, and some fans enjoy sharing online. https://kriskristoffersonfan.com/fanmail/ The days on the road are long and Kris’ schedule is packed so he has little leisure time. I am sorry I could not be more useful, but we are all fans like yourself, and we do not know Kris personally, although many of us have met him over the years at shows – Albeit fleetingly. Thank you for responding. I was hoping for a name/address of his manager? I am not great online and have been stymied by the different booking agents listed by google. My letter is personal, saying what he has meant to me over the last 40 or so years and his relationship with Christ. I really don’t see how handing it some random person at some random event will be effective. Any suggestions?
Judy, Scott Joss’ wife runs the merch table and they both see Kris every day while they are on tour. I would trust them with a letter, but I totally respect how you feel. Lisa is on tour with Kris and it seems that they are self-managing much of the day to day duties themselves. I am sorry that I can’t come up with an idea that might work for you. There is no clear contact person – I suppose this might be because the touring band is well established and as far as I know, there is no new album or plans to record anything new in the pipeline. My husband sang Kris’s song “Why Me Lord” while on his deathbed last year. There were several around his bed at the time. He was never one to talk about his faith & Jesus until then. He impressed many while he looked singing
Oh Millie, what a touching experience. It is amazing how many lives Kris has touched – I am truly sorry for your loss and yet so grateful to you for sharing this.
