Lisa casually said,
“I have a signed copy of this album. I had entered a contest somewhere (I don’t remember who put the contest on) in which we had to write an essay about our favorite song on this album. I ended up writing about Duvalier’s Dream… and especially the line, “betrayed by his own body and the hunger in his soul . . . Duvalier was a dreamer after all.” —> cuts me to the quick every time. I ended up winning the album. It is a limited edition, numbered album. And when I met Kris for the first time, he signed it for me, and gave me a hug (and I kissed his cheek) and I told him all about it.”
