Kris Kristofferson Jamming with Merle’s band
Kris Kristofferson toured extensively with Merle Haggard. There is a lovely article here about the spirit the two legends evoked on stage.
Late last year, former members of Merle’s band (Doug Colosio, Jeff Ingraham, and Scott Joss) were invited to do a series of intimate, up close shows with our favourite troubadour, Kris Kristofferson.
Kris, quite naturally (and typically generously) asked the band to do a few of Merle’s tunes in the show. As they say, “When Kris asks you to do somethin’…well, you do it!”
Scott graciously allowed us to use his video from one of the jams. I had to upload it so I could use it here, but all thanks go to Scott for allowing us this small glimpse.
As he said,
“I hope Merle gets a laugh out of our efforts…!”
My opinion? The guys all ROCK!
